'The New Normal' house: Spanish Colonial cool
The set design team for "'The New Normal" employed all kinds of savvy, budget-saving tricks to re-create the 1927 Spanish Colonial house once owned by design fanatic Diane Keaton.

'The New Normal' kitchen
Production designer Tony Fanning added color to the kitchen with a mix of Bauer pottery -- some vintage collectibles and some newly produced pieces, including budget-priced seconds and damaged pieces whose flaws the cameras can't pick up.
