Jennifer Lawrence goes glam in the new ad campaign for Miss Dior handbags.
The Oscar-nominated "Silver Linings Playbook" actress is gussied up in her latest snapshots flaunting the chain-strapped bags from the spring ready-to-wear collection by Raf Simons, according to WWD.
The stunning and sophisticated black-and-white portraits and bright color editorials remind us that the goofy Golden Globe-winning actress, who recently admitted to ogling John Stamos at a party, can be quite the glamorous lady. She's hit the red carpet in Dior gowns on several occasions and was announced as the face for the handbag line last October.
She was photographed by Willy Vanderperre and styled by Olivier Rizzo for the ads. Anthony Turner did her hair and her makeup was done by Aaron de Mey, WWD reported.
Lawrence, 22, who rose to mega-fame with her role in the film adaptation of "The Hunger Games," has been nominated for an Oscar before. She received the best actress nod for 2010's "Winter's Bone" but lost the honor to "Black Swan's" Natalie Portman. Interestingly, Portman was the face of Dior's Miss Dior Cherie fragrances under then-designer designer John Galliano, who was fired for his anti-Semitic comments.
This year, Lawrence is front runner for the best actress Oscar at this Sunday's Academy Awards, having already snagged the Golden Globe Award and Screen Actors Guild Award last month for her role as a neurotic widow in "Silver Linings Playbook." She hit a pre-Oscar party Wednesday with costar Bradley Cooper and wore an asymmetrical black-and-white Roland Mouret dress for the occasion, All the Rage reports.
At the Oscar luncheon earlier this month, the Chloe-clad actress, who is an unapologetic jokester in most interviews, said she plans to eat to keep herself calm on Oscar night.
"Eating normally calms me down," she said. "I remember before the Oscars I was wearing that skintight dress and I ate a Philly cheese steak and fries and was like, 'This is definitely going to help,' which it didn't because I had to double my Spanx."
The actress has joked that she plans "to wear sweatpants" to the Oscars, but now we won't be surprised if she shows up in Dior.
