In Venice, artists' enlightened home-studio

A pool? Nope, just the glass floor at the Venice home of artist Nancy Evans and woodworker Tucker Strasser. The couple wanted to live closer to where they work, so they built a second-floor residence above their studios. Building codes severely limited the size of the second floor so, to maximize space, the couple put an outdoor living room in the center. Here, Strasser cleans the glass, which delivers light to the work space below.
