Fall TV preview: Rating 21 new shows launching in September
The fall TV season gets underway in a big way in September, with old favorites and several new shows premiering on the broadcast and cable networks. The most interesting new series won't debut until October, but there are some debuting this month that I'm excited about and plan to watch. Here's a look at all the new broadcast network series launching in September (ordered by premiere date), and what I think about them.

"Ringer"
8 p.m. Sept. 13, CW
Cast: Sarah Michelle Gellar, Kristoffer Polaha, Ioan Gruffudd, Nestor Carbonell Premise: Sarah Michelle Gellar returns to TV, playing twin sisters Bridget and Siobhan, neither of which is anything like "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." Recovering addict and mob target Bridget takes over wealthy Siobhan's life after her sister disappears, but she learns Siobhan's life wasn't simple, or perfect, or safe. Prognosis: The pilot made me long for "Buffy." I'll watch a few more episodes, but I'm not expecting to be roped in. Read my full "Ringer" review here |
