In case you need more to be thankful for: British sensation "Downton Abbey" is getting a fourth season.
Its third season has yet to premiere stateside (it just concluded its run in the U.K. and is set to premiere on PBS Jan. 6), but British broadcaster ITV announced Friday that the dignified aristocrats and servants will be be back for more period drama.
Gareth Neame, executive producer of the series, promises there will be "more drama, comedy, love, hatred, jealousy, rivalry, ambition, despair and romance" in the fourth season.
The fourth season will begin filming eight episodes — in addition to another Christmas special — in February and is slated for a fall premiere in the U.K. No word on PBS' plans for the fourth season. But we're betting it's game.
The English series settled into a ratings groove with its sophomore outing on the public broadcasting network — it was the second-most-watched program at 9 p.m. on Super Bowl Sunday, and its February finale pulled in 5.4 million viewers.
