BEVERLY HILLS, C.A (WPIX) -- Actress Lindsay Lohan has been issued an arrest warrant, possibly stemming from a DUI and hit-and-run incident in May 2007, after she apparently lost control of her Mercedes-Benz and crashed into a tree, police said.

The 22-year old Long Island native was arrested two years ago during Memorial Day weekend after crashing her luxury car in Beverly Hills. She was arrested a second time last July after apparently chasing in her SUV the mother of her former personal assistant. The woman alerted authorities and police later determined Lohan was behind the wheel of the vehicle and arrested her in Santa Monica.

In August 2007, Lohan reportedly pleaded guilty in both cases to two misdemeanor counts of being under the influence of cocaine; no contest to two counts of driving with a blood-alcohol level above 0.08 percent and one count of reckless driving.

The "Mean Girls" star reportedly spent a total of 84 minutes behind bars and was ordered to perform community service and undergo drug-rehabilitation treatment.

During that troubled period of her life, Lohan released a statement through her publicist, reading: "It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs."
