David Siegel is pushing his side of story as the time-share king resurrects the construction of his mega-mansion and his reputation in light of a documentary movie.
Siegel and his wife Jackie, seen above in the grand ballroom of their dream mansion, hosted a Reuters photographer last Friday to show off the current progress. The Siegels and their 90,000 square-foot project are the subject of a critical film “The Queen of Versailles” that is now playing across the U.S. The movie depicts a family on the brink of financial disaster. Siegel brought suit against the filmmakers and since the movie wrapped, Siegel has seen a turnaround in his business.
"We're the most profitable we've ever been," Siegel told Reuters.
The photo essay shows the Siegels and their children in their current Iselworth home but also show Versailles in its current state of partial completion. Reuters also reports that the Siegels have hired a public relations crisis firm to improve their relationship with the media as "The Queen of Versailles" is released in more theaters.
