(HUTCHINSON, Kan.)—
Police say a Hutchinson woman was taken against her will and sexually assaulted in Hutchinson Friday. The attack happened in the 300 block of East 6th Street around 8:45 in the morning.Police say a woman in her 20's or 30's was getting into her car, when a man she didn't know approached her. He forced her into her vehicle and had her drive to an unknown location.
Police say he sexually assaulted her and let her go. He took off on foot. The woman called for help and gave police a description of the suspect.
They were able to find the suspect a short time later and arrested him on several charges including kidnapping and rape. Police say they were aware of a house in town with criminal activity. They stopped by the house and the suspect happened to be inside.
He's being held in jail on a $161,500 bond. He's been in trouble with Hutchinson police before and has spent time in prison.
