Someone in Southwest Kansas became a millionaire this weekend. The Kansas Lottery says a Powerball ticket sold for the Saturday drawing is worth a million bucks.
The ticket matched the first five numbers, but not the Powerball. The numbers from Saturday's drawing are:
3-22-26-41-49 Powerball 18
The ticket was sold in the Southwest region, which includes Greeley, Wichita, Scott, Lane, Ness, Rush, Hamilton, Kearny, Finney, Hodgeman, Pawnee, Stanton, Grant, Haskell, Gray, Ford, Edwards, Kiowa, Morton, Stevens, Seward, Meade, Clark, and Comanche counties.
The lottery office says the winning ticket can be claimed at Lottery headquarters in Topeka or the office in Great Bend.
The Powerball jackpot stands at an estimated $151 million (annuity) or $95.8 (cash option) for Wednesday’s drawing.
Super Kansas Cash had three $2,000 winners on January 26, 2013, one in south central Kansas and two in northeast Kansas. Those three tickets matched the first five numbers, but not the Super Cashball. The winning numbers are 12-15-23-31-32 Cashball 25. The Super Kansas Cash jackpot for tonight is an estimated $940,000, which is paid in a cash lump sum.
