If you plan to vote in today's primary election, polling locations will still be open.
Sedgwick County Election Commissioner Tabitha Lehman says she can’t cancel or postpone an election because state law won't allow it. She says it will be tough, but polling places will be open Tuesday.
"Right now we are seeking to have all the polling locations open. We are working with companies to plow those areas, get the walkways clear, and to get our board workers here," she said.
Lehman says the City of Wichita is making it a priority to plow the routes to polling locations. One polling location will not open, the Independent Living Center. People who usually go there to vote need to go to Christ the King Charity Hall.
Meanwhile, Reno County Election Officials say they're going to centralize voting today. Voters can cast their ballots at the Reno County Courthouse during the normal hours.
