(HUTCHINSON, Kan.)—
A Hutchinson man is hospitalized after an early morning crash in Hutch early Thursday morning. It happened at Pershing and 4th around 2:20 am.
Police tell us the 33-year-old driver was headed north on Pershing but didn't stop at the intersection at 4th Street. He collided with a semi that was headed west on 4th.
After the collision, his car headed NW and came to rest after striking the Kwik Shop offices building in the 700 block of E. 4th.
The driver was taken to the hospital in Hutch, then airlifted to a Wichita hospital for treatment.
Police aren't sure if drugs or alcohol were involved or if the driver was wearing a seat belt.
The 46-year-old semi driver was not hurt.
