Five years after an EF-5 tornado ripped through Greensburg, the city is preparing to prove they are have flourished after the disaster.
On May 4th, 2007, the town of about 1,500, took cover as a tornado killed 11 people in Greensburg and destroyed about 95% of their city. Greensburg has spent the past five years not just recovering, but rebuilding as a showcase for green environmentally friendly technology.
City officials have planned a five year anniversary with events starting tomorrow, May 4th and running through May 6th.
