Showers will work out of the Wichita area later this afternoon with limited sunshine to return.  More sun and gusty winds will be felt out west as temperatures top out in the upper 80s there.  Meanwhile expect upper 70s and lower 80s for south-central and southeast Kansas.

Wednesday will be our only hot day this week with highs between 95-100. A strong cold front should plow our way Thursday setting us up for scattered showers and storms then a big cool-down behind the front for the second half of our week.

Right now the weekend looks dry with highs in the low to mid-80s and partly cloudy skies.
