Behind a big weekend storm system, Kansas will continue with northwest breezes through Tuesday with cooler than normal temperatures. However, a big warmup is coming for midweek and beyond.

Overnight, the wind will back off a little, but with lows dropping to around 20 for much of Kansas and winds gusting to 20 mph, wind chill values will be in the single digits. Evening snow showers and flurries will be ending.

Expect a mix of sunshine and high clouds for Monday with highs near 50 in Wichita, but cooler 40s expected in northern Kansa. Southwest Kansas could be close to 60 befor the end of the day.

A few sprinkles will be possible Monday night in western Kansas.

Highs will mainly be in the 50s for Tuesday with mostly sunny skies.

A gradual shift in the weather pattern and a return of south breezes will push afternoon highs into the 70s late in the week.
