A cold front will run into higher humidity and should set the stage for showers and storms overnight for central and eastern Kansas.
Lows will be in the mid 30s across the west behind the front, but will end up in the 40s and 50s for much of central and eastern Kansas.Western Kansas will miss the rain, but some areas in central and southern Kansas should end up with .25 - .50".
Some leftover showers will be around early Thursday, but it will all be over by noon. Clouds will slowly depart and afternoon sunshine is expected for the area. Temperatures will top out in the low to mid 50s statewide.
Friday looks dry ahead of another storm system that is coming our way for the weekend. Chances for showes and storms will return to the area by Saturday night and some snow could fall in northwest Kansas early Sunday as colder air returns to the central US.
