The new month will be off to a windy and mild start for much of Kansas.
The chance for isolated showers and storms over western Kansas will be fading through the night with skies mostly clear central and east/partly cloudy in the west. Lows will be in the 50s.
North winds will pick up on Monday with decreasing clouds during the afternoon. Temperatures for this time of the year should be in the mid 70s and much of the state will see highs close to that. Northwest Kansas will be the coolest with highs near 70, but upper 70s will be common in southeast Kansas.
North winds will die down Monday night with lows in the 40s.
It will get warmer during the middle of the week before our next strong cold front arrives Thursday, dropping temperatures significantly for the second half of the week. Stay tuned.
