Our Thursday will end up quite mild for mid-January. Highs will top out in the upper 40s to the lower 50s under a sunny to mostly sunny sky.
Look for even warmer temps Friday and Saturday as afternoon highs soar into the low to mid and even a few upper-50s.
The warmth won't last however as a slow moving cold front drifts into our state form the north Saturday night ushering in another slug of cold Canadian air. Behind the front expect afternoon highs to fall back to near 40 degrees Sunday followed by a re-enforcing shot of cold air Monday when highs tumble into the 20s to near 30 degrees.
The cold air will slowly move out of our area by midweek when afternoon highs climb back into the mid to upper-40s.
Other than the possibility of a few flurries Sunday night over northwest Kansas, the next seven days remain dry.
