The powerful storm system raked Kansas with wicked winds and blowing dust Thursday will slowly spin farther away from our area by Friday eveninig causing our gusty winds to back-off around sunset.
We will see plenty of sunshine Friday afternoon along with wind around 25 mph but nothing like the 45 to 60 mph blasts we endured Thursday.
Highs Friday will range from around 60 in the northeast to the lower-70s out west.
Our weekend looks mostly sunny and warmer with highs in the 70s and 80s.
Next week will bring warmer than average temps through Thursday and a good bet to get wet Monday afternoon when a weak front sparks areas of showers and thunderstorms.
