Think summer Wednesday with lots of sun, gusty south winds and warm temps  all before temperatures plummet the rest of the week and into our weekend as a chilly Canadian air-mass pours into the region.

Look for a few high clouds, very warm temperatures and gusty southerly winds Wednesday afternoon with highs soaring into the mid to upper-80s before a strong cold front moves into our area tonight.

The front will plow all the way through Kansas by midday Thursday ushering in much colder temperatures and gusty northerly winds for the remainder of the week but little if any rain. Those gusty northerly winds will continue to howl Friday and Saturday making it feel even colder.

Afternoon highs Thursday will top out in the 60s to around 70 then tumble into the 50s to around 60 Saturday and Sunday.

Areas of frost will be possible across parts of Kansas this weekend along with a few snowflakes out west so stay tuned.
