Sunshine and light winds will dominate the holiday weekend. Highs today will be similar to yesterday reaching the middle 90s most areas of the state - clouds and showers (remnants of Hurricane Isaac) across northeast Kansas will keep temperatures in the 80s.
Clear skies tonight with mild overnight temperatures dropping into the 60s.
Sunday and Labor Day look hot as Mother Nature tries to put her stamp on the final days of summer. Temperatures over the Labor Day weekend will be well above normal, even in the east. Highs each afternoon in the upper 90s to near 100.
The next chance of rain will be late Tuesday into Wednesday.
