Caveman (KTLA) |
LOS ANGELES (KTLA) -- People who have converted to the "Caveman diet" swear it could get you into the best shape of your life.
The diet is based on the premise of consuming foods that can be hunted, fished or gathered.
Actress Scarlett Johansen said she went on the diet to get in shape for her role in "The Avengers."
"I built so much muscle, I was massive," Johansen said.
The key to the diet is to exclude refined grains. Meals have no bread, potatoes, pasta or rice.
A typical breakfast might include a hearty helping of scrambled eggs, avocados and a few strawberries.
There's even a food truck that caters to the diet, and it's called "Not So Fast."
