End this month with a weekend packed full of activities, music, and fundraising events! There are several opportunities for you to raise money for a great cause, all while having a joyful evening. The Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Museum of World Treasures are both having fundraising events that will include wine, entertainment, music, and silent auctions.
Other events include an Elvis concert, bridal fashion show, and entertainment on some of Wichita’s favorite walking trails. Don’t miss your chance to get out this weekend and attend any of these exciting events!
1) Donny Edwards ‘One Night with Elvis’

Why you should go: Ready for a night of rock-n-roll hits by one of the most sought after Elvis tribute artists in the world? Come out this Friday to the Orpheum to hear Donny Edwards ‘One Night with Elvis’ show. Not only is Edwards a spitting image of the late Elvis Presley, but he also sings just like the famous rock-n-roll star! Edwards is a two time world champion Elvis tribute artist and was a top finalist on the celebrity impersonator reality show “Next Best Thing”.
Travel back through time with some of Elvis’ greatest hit songs: “All Shook Up”, “If I Can Dream”, “Suspicious Minds”, “Viva Las Vegas”, and much, much more. The show will begin at 7:00 p.m. and tickets are $18.00 - $28.00 per person.

2) Night of Treasures…. Bombers and Bombshells
Time: 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Why you should go: Enjoy a blast from the past with a forties themed fundraising event at the Museum of World Treasures. This annual fundraiser will include swing music and dancers that will be rocking the rafters. There will be complimentary wine and beer, finger foods, bottomless signature drinks, and live music.
A silent and live auction will include some amazing items, such as a four night stay at Grand Lake Condo, custom jewelry from Carolyn Sayre’s Fine Jewelry, a full course dinner for eight by Bonefish Grill, and more. All proceeds will go towards the renovation of the Museum of World Treasures Children’s Activity Center.

3) Final Friday: The Magic Trail and Poets Trail

The Poets Trail: Pavilions at WaterWalk, 515 S. Main St., Downtown Wichita, Kansas

Why you should go: Come out and watch the Kansas walking trails come to life with special performances and entertainment. On the last Friday of every month, from May until September, selected museums present FREE sidewalk entertainment along their walking trail.
The Magic Trail in Haysville, Kansas will be presenting the Wizards of Wichita. The Wizards in Friday’s performance are a part of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. These special guests will be sure to entertain the crowd with magic.
The Poets Trail will be hosting a special performance at the WaterWalk Pavilion. This event will include poets in Wichita who are competing in the Poetry Slam National Competition in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Both events will be held between 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
4) Uncork A Wish

The Grace Hill Winery is hosting the first Uncork a Wish event to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Kansas. Come join in this event and a night full of wine, hors d’oeuvres, music and a silent auction.

5) 8th Annual Bridal Expo

There will also be a bridal fashion stage show, special prizes, sample tasting, and chocolate fountains.
The Bridal Expo is an informative way of learning your wedding options and getting an expert opinion on planning your special event. Tickets for one day are $7.00 and $10.00 for a 2 day pass.
