Smith County Fair- July 14th - July 18th

The Smith County Fair is being held at the Smith County Fairgrounds on 218 S. Grant. It will open at 8:00 a.m. Thursday morning and run till Monday evening. The fair will include several livestock exhibits and shows including: an open bucket calf/beef show, open swine show, cat judging contest, livestock judging contest, dog show, sheep show, horse show, round robin contest, and much more.

There will also be other fun activities to participate in while at the fair this year. Make sure that you check out these events: bingo, inflatables, baked pie contest, ranch rodeo, catch a critter, and mud drags. The fair will conclude this year with an awards ceremony on Monday at 6:30 p.m. Following the ceremony will be a premium auction which will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Thursday, July 14th
8:00 AM- 4-H/Open Photography Check-in
9:00 AM – Check in Open Class Foods and Open Floral
10:00 AM – Check in all other Open Class exhibits
10:30 AM – Judge 4-H Photography and Open Floral
1:00 PM – Judge 4-H Floral and Judge Open class photography, horticulture, & crops
3:00 PM – Judge 4-H electric, rocketry, woodworking, forestry, geology, entomology
3:30 PM – Judge 4-H self determined, reading, notebookis, educational displays
4:00 PM – Judge 4-H Crafts
4:30 PM – Poultry exhibit blood testing

Friday, July 15th

9:30 AM – Rabbit Judging
