As managers work to train 50 new table game dealers, the search is still on for more. Chris Bourneuf, Table Games Manager, tells Eyewitness news, "When people applied, they applied for positions they were familiar with so we really didn't have that many."
The casino is in the middle of dealer school right now. It includes five to eight weeks of training on everything from black jack to craps.
"The whole aspect of this job is just to have fun and you have to be professional and you have to be precise but you're still having fun with your customers and I've never been able to do anything like that before," explains Rashell Taylor.
Taylor originally applied to be a massage therapist at the resort's spa, but was talked into giving table games a chance. With a month to go before opening day, she says it's crunch time.
"You have all these cameras on you as dealers and people are coming to play, that are regular gamblers, so for some of us it wouldn't hurt our feelings if we didn't go out there the first day."
