A home goes up in flames Wednesday morning.

Crews were called to the 1900 block of North Madison around 6:15 Wednesday morning. When they arrived they found the house engulfed in flames and heavy smoke.
The home has smoke and heat damage throughout, but the most damage is in the kitchen. Officials say there's indication someone was trying to light a cigarette with a burner from the stove.
A family of four was inside the home. There are no reports of injuries.
Officials estimate damages to be around $25,000.
