Storm Damage Reports Across Kansas

UPDATE:

Winds reached up to 60 miles an hour at El Dorado Lake. Two campers were overturned in the Shady Creek area. People inside have minor injuries.

There are some power poles are down in Augusta.

Some homes were hit by lightning late last night in Sedgwick County, there were no fires, but the homes did have smoke.


Eyewitness News has several reports of storm damage coming into the newsroom.

Barton County dispatchers report rain and hail, but no damage in the area.

About 30 of the Goodland City Power Plant customers don't have power as of 9:45 Monday night. Crews are working to restore power. The power outage is blamed on falling tree limbs.

Goodland County Dispatchers say many vehicles in the area have hail damage. There are downed trees and power lines in the area, contributing to the power outages. Dispatchers say there are a few injuries reported, minor cuts and scrapes.

Gary Rogers at Cheyenne County Emergency management says he worked a blown over semi 4 miles north of St. Francis. They received strong wind and hail damage, with many windows in homes and vehicles broken. He also says many roofs and siding damage from hail.

Sherman County dispatchers tell Eyewitness News multiple vehicles lost windshields along I-70 due to the hail.
