One Dead, One Hurt In Thomas County Crash

By Megahn Snyder (THOMAS COUNTY, Kan.)

One man is dead, another is in a Denver hospital. Both are victims of a one vehicle crash in Thomas county.

Investigators say the driver, 21-year-old Zachary Thompson, was headed north on a county road eleven miles north of Levant just before noon Tuesday. He lost control, went into a ditch and rolled the 1998 Firebird.  Both Thompson and his 25-year-old passenger, Donny Spresser, were ejected.

Emergency crews took Thompson and Spresser to the hospital in Colby. Spresser died there a couple hours later. Thompson was transported to a Denver hospital.

Neither man was wearing a seat belt.
