The first thing you'll notice about Lori Koehn's house is lot of blue sky.

"I can't believe it. To be honest with you, it really hasn't set in," she said.

There's almost too much to take in. High winds ripped off the roof and pushed the house off it's foundation.

"There is a gap now between the house and the deck," said Koehn.

The rain mixed with insulation made an oatmeal thick paste that covers everything.

"The whole thing was more confusing than anything," she said. "I couldn't figure out what was going on."

Koehn said she was sitting on her couch when the storm hit. She felt something hit her on the back of the head. She ducked down and tried to take cover. Little did she know, it was a piece of the roof that fell, as it was being ripped off her home.

"We're lucky she crawled out of there without any cuts or bruises," said Koehn's son John.

The family is sorting through what won't make it through the storm, knowing those aren't the things that made this house a home.

"We're just pretty light hearted. We just make everything a joke, and it keeps everything going."

Insurance adjusters will determine how much damage was done to the house on Wednesday.
